Second New York man accused in FedEx driver robbery acquitted

A New York man accused of being part of an attempted robbery of a FedEx driver has been acquitted by a Montgomery County jury.

Luis Emilio Paula-Jimenez, 23, was found not guilty of one count each of complicity to commit robbery and complicity to commit theft, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court documents.

He was initially charged along with Miguel Antonio Bodre, 21, also of New York, connected to Halloween 2024, when Bodre reportedly pushed a FedEx delivery driver on Ashel Court in Washington Twp. and grabbed a package.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Bodre tried to flee in a getaway car but deputies intercepted him and Paula-Jimenez, taking both into custody.

Bodre pleaded guilty to one count of robbery on Jan. 9, and was sentenced to up to five years of probation and 100 hours of community service by Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Elizabeth Ellis.
